Our Wolverines were the surprise team of this year's Palmetto State Showdown. On Friday, we were undefeated in our pool and completed the day at 5-2. The only 2 losses coming from the Byrnes A team and 5A Georgia power, Colquitt County.

Excellent play by the Wolverines continued into Saturday morning by completing Pool Play with 2 more wins against Brunswick, GA, the eventual champions, and Kings Mountain. We did suffer 1 loss to the Byrnes B team, however.

The Wolverines received a number 5 seed in tournament play and proceeded to knock off Warren Central, IN and Colquitt County, GA to advance to the semi-finals. The only tournament loss came at the hands of Wren, the defending 2010 Showdown Champions.

All signs point to a great season for our Wolverines! Great job boys!
